How Can I Get School Supplies for My Child?
Is your child ready for school? We may be able to help with the supplies your child needs. If your family meets income guidelines, will be in grades k-12 for the 2020-2021 school year, and you live in Muscatine, Clinton, or Cedar County, you may qualify. The process to apply for school supplies is simple:
- Click on the Apply For School Supplies button below.
- Completely fill out and submit the short form.
- We will review your application and we will call you if we need more information.
- Due to COVID-19, we are not distributing supplies this year – we are awarding gift cards for families to buy their own supplies. If you qualify, we will mail a $25 Walmart gift card to each child in your home. By completing the application you are promising to use this only for the supplies your child needs for school.
If you live in Scott County we can help you find a school supplies program that may be able to help you.
Where Do the Supplies Come From?
The school supplies we give your family are donated by the community and from funding provided by the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). Many area businesses partner with us to conduct donation drives.
How Can I Donate?
Providing school supplies to nearly seven hundred children in three counties is only possible with the help of generous donors. If you or your company would like to donate, you can contribute through our GoFundMe campaign, or by visiting our donation page, where you can make a donation by PayPal or find the address to mail us a check. If you are part of a group that would like to conduct a group fundraiser or campaign to benefit this initiative we would be happy to provide printed and social media images.
Community Action of Eastern Iowa is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Donations are income tax-deductible.
