Child Care Consultant Supervisor

Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) of Southeast Iowa is seeking a Child Care
Consultant Supervisor to provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to a team of
Child Care Consultants who support child care programs across our region.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring and developing staff, balances
accountability with relationship-based leadership, communicates concerns
constructively, and supports a positive, solution-focused team culture.
A successful Child Care Consultant Supervisor will:

• Supervise, mentor, and coach Child Care Consultants to support professional
  growth
• Provide individual support to consultants through joint visits, regular check-ins,
  and reflective decision making to strengthen consultation skills
• Help consultants maintain strong relationships with providers while addressing
  quality and regulatory concerns
• Assist in coordinating and facilitating provider professional development through
  training opportunities, coaching resources, and referrals
• Advance community child care solutions by partnering with local organizations,
  sharing resources, and helping identify gaps and opportunities
• Promote quality initiatives such as IQ4K, ChildNet, and other CCR&R programs
• Collaborate with CCR&R leadership to ensure consistency, shared expectations,
  and to develop and implement new ideas and creative solutions
• Create and maintain a positive team culture with respectful, professional
  communication. This includes helping staff navigate challenges and change in
  constructive, solution-focused ways
• Participate in direct consultation activities as needed to ensure coverage and
  meet program goals
• Use data and documentation to inform supervision and decision-making
  A qualified Candidate should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education (with early
  childhood endorsement), or related field
• Supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience in child care consultation or technical assistance
• I-Consult credential or willingness to obtain
• Valid Iowa or Illinois driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are a plus

  Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) of Southeast Iowa is part of a statewide
  network that supports quality care throughout the state of Iowa. CCR&R provides child
  care providers with training, technical assistance, and resources that support regulator
  compliance and continuous quality improvement. The program also contributes to
  recruitment and retention by helping providers start new programs, strengthen business
