The storage and transmission of Personal Information for business purposes is securely managed and audited. Storage of Personal Information may be governed by business operations, legislative requirements, or contracts with service providers. We will do our best to notify you when storage of Personal Information crosses jurisdictional boundaries using cloud-based technology.

Automated Collection of Data

Your engagement with Community Action of Eastern Iowa may result in the automated collection of data that can potentially be used to identify you. An automated collection method that may be used is “cookies”. Cookies are types of browser data that may include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, WIFI details and user data captured when accessing systems or websites. Cookies provide system analytics and assist organizations with site maintenance or operational system requirements. Access, Corrections and Responding to Privacy Concerns

Pursuant to privacy laws you or an authorized agent acting on your behalf may make a request to access your own Personal Information, and where you believe your own Personal Information to be inaccurate, may request a correction. Under specific legislated circumstances you may be entitled to request the deletion of your own Personal Information. Requests impacting Personal Information are reviewed, and where required may be investigated by our Chief Operating Officer in accordance with applicable legislation.

Governing Law. This Agreement, and any dispute between you and Community Action of Eastern Iowa, shall be governed by the laws of the State of Iowa without regard to principles of conflicts of law.  Any action shall take place in Scott County, Iowa and you consent to said jurisdiction.

Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold Community Action of Eastern Iowa , its subsidiaries, and affiliates, subcontractors and other partners, and their respective officers, directors, agents, partners, employees and volunteers, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of or failure to comply with this Agreement (including any breach of your representations and warranties contained herein), any postings or Content that you post in, through or in connection with the Site, and the violation of any law or regulation by you. CAEI reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will fully cooperate with CAEI in connection therewith.

Entire Agreement; Other. Privacy Policy and any specific guidelines or rules that are separately posted for particular services or offers in the site, contains the entire agreement between you and Community Action of Eastern Iowa regarding the use of the site. The section titled Privacy Policy are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.  This Privacy Policy operated to the fullest extent permissible by law.  If any provision of this Privacy Policy is held invalid, the remainder of this Privacy Policy shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of Community Action of Eastern Iowa to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Privacy Policy shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
