Program Services Supervisor
Child Care Resource and Referral of Southeast Iowa, a program of Community Action of
Eastern Iowa, is seeking a Program Services Supervisor. Child Care Resource and Referral
(CCR&R) promotes quality child care by providing support, consultation, and technical
assistance to child care centers and in-home child care program. We also support families
looking for child care by providing resources and information.
The primary role of the Program Services Supervisor is to provide support and leadership to
CCR&R staff in the areas of Community Development, Provider Professional Development and
Data.
Responsibilities include:
- Effectively supervising 3-5 staff in their roles at CCR&R with the goal of quality,
affordable, accessible child care throughout our 19 county region. - Advocating for quality child care in Iowa through conversations with community
members, employers and early childhood partners. - Support the professional development opportunities of registered home child care
providers, child care center directors and all child care staff. - Maintain accurate data on child care programs, including up to date vacancies. Assist
with CCR&R reports and tracking of performance measures.
A successful Program Services Supervisor candidate will have: - Effective interpersonal skills for working with the CCR&R team, child care providers,
child care program administrators, and the general public - Knowledge of high-quality early child care and education practices
- Office organizational skills with attention to detail and understanding of common
computer applications - Leadership skills needed to support staff in meeting programs goals and expectations
- Effective skills in conflict resolution and problem solving
- Effective skills to foster the professional development of others
- Commitment to collaborating in a team environment
- Self-motivating and able to manage work independently
Required Education for a Program Services Supervisor:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Early Childhood, Family Services, or other related degree and
experience in collecting and analyzing data for statistical reports.
