Lead Family Services Specialist

Summary: Assist the Family Services Director in the areas of compliance and operation of family services components through the Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) program, the Head Start/Early Head Start program, and other family-focused programs. Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field with case management and supervision experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Family Services Specialist

Summary: Provide in-home and in-center case management to families enrolled in the Head Start and/or FaDSS program to assist them in accessing resources and overcome barriers to create opportunities for self-sufficiency.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with families in social work/human services setting. A Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field is a plus.

Training Coordinator

Summary: Responsible for organizing and coordinating child care provider training opportunities for all counties served by the Resource and Referral Program in Iowa. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Public Relations, Communication or a related degree. Or an AA in Early Childhood Education, Public Relations, Communications or related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Child Care Consultant

Summary: To provide support, consultation and technical assistance to child care centers and in-home child care programs. Experience with common microcomputer applications to include database programs and basic word processing and data entry. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education with an early childhood endorsement, Child and Family Services, Psychology, Social Work or closely related field.  Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Summary: Preschool teacher position. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or an Associate’s Degree in a related field, with credit hours equivalent to an Iowa Board of Education Pre-K endorsement. Higher compensation with a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in education.

Head Start Education Assistant
Full Time. Both full-year and school-year openings are available.

Summary:  Assistant Teacher for preschool classroom. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA), or must be able to obtain Child Development Associate Certificate within one and ½ years of hire. Previous experience working with children ages 0-5 is required.

Inspector/Energy Auditor
Full Time, full-year
Flexible Schedule, eligible for telecommuting
Summary: Responsible for the initial assessment, worksite supervision, troubleshooting, and final inspection of customer homes according to Iowa Weatherization Program standards. High school diploma or equivalent, and two years experience working in the construction or home weatherization field required.
